Please still do. Will help get that thought off my mind haha :)

As your getting an oil measurement on the dipstick that is in the car, and after a while there is no measurement, then the car is using oil.

No matter if it's the right dipstick or not "It's using oil"

Yes but if the current dipstick is shorter than the original, by adherring to the hatch markings on the stick, the engine is being over filled and so it's being thrown out through the exhaust system until it gets down to about it's correct level - I have seen this happen before on another make of engine.

However, if it is the correct stick, ok, lets hope so, but if not it's easilly sorted, it's worth double checking before you spend any more on diagnostic work.

Man that's a lot of oil - mine hasn't used a drop in a few thousand miles... What mods you had done?

it's standard lol. Runs fine afaik. Never had the low oil light come on... Just the red warning car is going to die one.

But I stopped driving after that...

;)

Your missing the point, please read my last post again.

This statement by the owner "Never had the low oil light come on" tends to prove my point that it maybe has a shorter dipstick fitted !

And your ,missing mine.

Even if he had filled it up too much it has got to the point where the engine warning light has come on, and once oil was put in it was ok.

So short dip stick or Not, the car is using oil.

Sorry I didn't get back to you yesterday. Lack of me-time :-(

I just measured my dip stick and from the very top of the handle to the bottom of the stick it's a tiny bit over 56cm.

Needs a rebuild right? So im looking at what? Not much change from 1k?
