Hi all

My drivers side passenger window electric switch was a bit dodgy so I ordered a new one and fitted it at the weekend. Now I'm noticing (whereas I didn't before) that the new switch lights up. I can't remember if the old one did. Just wondering could people check if theirs light up?

mine do... Both sides.

Yep. When the little window picture in my wife's passenger side switch fell through, I opened it up to stick it back in, and saw there was a little LED inside the unit. Unfortunately, I lost the little ballbearing that makes it 'click' so had to get a replacement and that lit up too. In fact, they come in pairs so I had a spare for quite some time before I passed it on to someone who needed it.

Was that relevant to you? Not sure, but be advised that all the window switches in both of our Fabias light up... :)

The same happened to the little picture of the window on the passenger side switch, hence why it mustn't be lighting for me either. Will invest in a new switch and see then I should have both sides lighting up! :)

Yep its a std thing, the Smart boys used to take them apart and change the SMD LED inside to change the colour, if i could be bothered i would do this as i dont like the green lighting, i prefer the new white the are now using :smirk:
