Skoda transport

Featured Replies

My Superb may or may not be delivered to my dealer tomorrow, it may or may not be delivered wednesday, cant get a definate delivery to dealer. I find this unbelievable that the transport company hold so many cards. Wrong weather, drivers hours too short. Have Skoda gone absolutely mad allowing a two bit transport company to deliver their cars. My dealers hands are totally tied by this horse and cart transport company.

The car was built and on the train to Emden last week in november, between then and now you could have swam and walked the distance to the dealers. The ships had to hold off because Grimsby could not deal with the German efficiency.

Come on Skoda, look at who your contracting to.

Other than that little moan, might be picking the car up from dealers on friday, but then I may not be. :S

I really feel your pain, my car left the factory at the end of October, was delivered to the dealership (in Carlisle) on 22nd November, yet I didn't get my hands on it until 17th December!!

I did have lots of lies about promised delivers though (4 of them!!) I chose to drive 560 miles round trip to collect the car, it was that or walk away from the deal.

560 miles, thats enthusiasm, I wanted to collect car from Grimsby before xmas, but docks have strict guidlines. As a nation we are so inflexable.

Unfortunately mine had got to the point that it was collect it or cancel the car though!

As a nation we are so inflexable.

Tell me about it, I tried several times to collect the car when they couldn't/wouldn't deliver it but was told "sorry that's not possible".

When I arrived in Chesterfield to collect the car (from another broker who had agreed to let Broadspeed use their premises to hand over the car), the car was still not there - as they had no driver to bring it down, they were still sticking to their 'no customer collection' rule, so it was put to them that the customer had already travelled 260 miles that morning to collect the car, so how were they going to get the car to me in the next hour? their answer was they couldn't, so they were told "we ARE coming to collect the car!"

Funny how nothing (at all) was said when we got there.

Despite them having no driver to bring the car just 20 miles to us they had 'promised' me (again) the day before that "we can 100% get the car to you tomorrow morning" just as well I didn't believe them.

Anyway enough of my rant (sorry!) enjoy the car when you do get it

Great news, just been past the dealers, and a brand new steel grey 4x4 estate with tinted windows, is sat under wraps, so close.
