"bad road" package on fabia combi recommended?

Featured Replies

I am woundering if I shuld ask my seller to add "bad road package" on my fabia combi 1.2 tsi DSG?

The package includes: (elevated ground clearance of 150 mm, reinforced springs, shock absorbers and stabilizer bar

and underrun protection of motor and gearbox) with the price of SEK 1500,-

If anyone have a picture of the car with this package please upload!

and how is it compared without this package.. what do u guys think about this package? driving property on the highway/country road with/without asphalt? in sharp turns etc..

I found a website where the car have this "bad road package" but I dont know if its the same?

http://www.garaget.org/?car=146547 I cannot say it looks like this car is 150mm higher then other fabias?

I dont drive at bad roads all time but at fishing-trips etc.. there are sometimes big rocks in the road.. :)

And in Norway we have speedbumps every 50 meters... at least it feels like that..

And anyone know if the factory gives me a new "5 months" waiting if I add this package? - perhaps they cancel my order and add a new? hmm

have waited 2 months already.. dont want to wait 7.

Well it sounds really good and most of all i like the under-run protection of the motor and gearbox

10mm equals 1cm, so it is extremely difficult to recognize the height difference by viewing a photo. The car from the link is the pre facelift and she is not a Tsi but HTP

I like fishing too, no need of giving height to the car. Even at speed bumps and worst of all by "climbing" on pavement.

This is a joker question. Don't push your luck.

I don't know if something like that is available in my country, or what the price is (in euros), i wouldn't keen on ordering it, except the under-run protection (if available) mostly for avoiding damages by hitting dead animals or other objects.

I've been considering the metal under-tray for our Mk1 Octavia - I understand it is quite heavy and by itself reduces ground clearance a bit, so perhaps the raised suspension option on the Fabia is partly designed to offset that.

If the main problem is poor quality road surface I'd be also considering fitting a wheel and tyre combination that gives a taller sidewall.

Added "bad road package" on my order and I got the same factory date as before - week 8 :)

Nice with extra protection under the car.
