Hi Guys,

New member here!

I've just bought a 2006 Octavia Vrs and the gear knob is worn. Does anyone know where i can get a new one? I thought i'd bought one through superskoda.com but i've just had a refund as they are out of stock.

I cant seem to find one anywhere. I guess a main dealer would be able to get me one?

I'm going to give them a call to find out if its 6 speed. Are all 2009 Octavia's 6 speed do you know?

You should be able to get one via the dealer.

I had a leather one fitted when I got my 2007 vRS, and they were available as 6 or 5 speed. Incidently this was the same as the one that in now standard on the FL vRS with the chrome top rather than the aluminium finish.

I've just ordered the one above on Ebay. It is the chrome finish one and its 6 speed so happy days!

I just hope its in very good condition as was described to me.

As a matter of interest does the chrome wear off on the new one like the old one did? Or is it a better quality finish this time?
