Xenon light question

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have a Skoda octavia 1.9 tdi 2006 model elegance, i wan to change the Bi Xenon headlight cluster for Full Xenon, what is the price and is the car wired already to take full xenon lights,

cheers

What do you mean when you say bi-Xenon and full Xenon?

Your current car - if fitted with factory Xenon units - will have a Xenon dipped beam and halogen high beam only. This is referred to as a standard Xenon lamp.

Bi-Xenon uses the lamp for dipped and main beam, a shutter is used for dipped beam, this cuts out the higher part of the beam so as not to dazzle drivers.

That is the only factory fitted system on the pre facelifted Octavia. the only way around that is to fit an aftermarket Xenon kit to replace the halogen main beam lamp but that raises issues with flashing the lights etc.

oh boy, here we go again..........

why don't people use google to do a bit of research before asking questions!?!?!

dsteve2000 is correct.
