Too good to be true?

Featured Replies

I'm looking to order a nice candy white snow monster in the near future and have been looking at what discounts are available online.

Stumbled over the car-finance.net site and the discounts seem pretty impressive. Trouble is I've never heard of them before, and cant find much info about them online. Has anyone here heard anything or used them before?

No, but quite a few folk seem to use Drive the Deal....I did, and saved a couple of grand approx. I picked mine up earlier this week - the whole process went very smoothly (apart from the 35 week wait that is....)

Drop me an email if you like and I can supply you some figures if you don't mind?

I believe Drive The Deal have a pretty good track record. If you'd rather go to a dealer you know / trust - e.g. James @ Allams has loads of fans on here - you can always print off the DtD quote and see how close they can get. In my case, I got £2500 dealer discount which was within £300 of the DtD price - I went with my local dealer Citygate.

You might find that James can now equal or better the drive the deal prices since the price rise, though I'm not promising anything.

Mike

PS He has a 140 DSG coming into stock very shortly.

Yes, it would seem that the extra deep discounts from Dtd have eased somewhat and I wouldn't be too surprised to find that James would be in a position to be relatively more competetive now than a month ago as a result. Bad news for those looking to get the very cheapest deal irrespective of location - better news for James! As always, though, it pays to make enquiries from more than one source, just to be aware of what's what.

Thanks for all the feedback. In the end I got a quote from another broker a grand less than DtD and went with it.

Was only looking for a petrol model, so hopefully my nice candy white snow monster won't take to long to get here.

Just check with the broker that you get the V5 when you collect the car and that it is registered as you being the first keeper.

I checked with a number of brokers before ordering with DTD.

Some of the others try and hold onto the V5 for 6 months, something to do with getting fleet sales discount. I avoided going with this type of deal. Happy with DTD experience in this respect.
