Uprated Rear Brakes

Featured Replies

Decided I'm buying 323mm Brembo's for the front. Which brakes should I get for the rear? Is there a smaller Brembo kit or do I have to stick with the 256mm brakes?

If the latter, what exactly do I need? Is it just bolt on?

This place is just round the corner from me. We have dealings with them at work.

They do a rear conversion kit for the octavia, I think it might fit the fabia.

They also do some 350mm haha, huuuugggge

Some octavia rears will even things out, Straight fit.

256mm brakes would be ample if not tbh a little overkill. I've done if for looks tbh more than anything to be honest.

I've still got those rear 256 brakes, discs and new pads I've not decided if I want to fit. If you decide to go that way then message me... I might just sell them and leave it for now. Want to fit them but I just don't seem to be able to get round to it...

A few days ago there was 312mm rear brake kit on Ebay for MK4 Golfs etc with the standard 232mm set-up, basically it was a 312mm front kit adapted to go on the back. It was £440 buy it now, it must have sold becuase it's gone.

NOW THATS OVERKILL!

What about handbrake caliper?

Calipers carriers (must be 2WD) and discs. Pads are the same iirc

Sweet any ideas on prices matt?

Last time I saw a set of 256 calipers carriers and discs from a scrappy on ebay they were £150, I bought a set of 256s, and promptly sold them because they were from a 4wd, for about that so your ballpark figure is £150.

Not sure tbh. A mate got a set from a 4wd model, then got another full kit from a octy when he realised. Ill find out what he paid, I'm gonna try and have the calipers off him then just find some 2wd carriers.

you need caliper/carrier/pads from audi tt 2wd...golf anniversary..octy mk1 vrs...disc backing plate needs lip cut off or mk4 golf ones fitted with the bolt holes widened slightly.

Or just take the shield off.
