Cruise Control - Can I install it?

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Please be gentle with me as this is my first post in they Octy 2 section...

I've just put a deposit down on a 2005 Octy Estate in Ambiente trim. Its got everything I wanted bar cruise control. And I've noticed that Skoda and a couple of after market places do cruise control. But they list the Octy 2 from 2006 onwards and the Octy 1 to 2006.

So basically, can I fit cruise control to my car? Or is it a no no? It does have Maxidot and a multifunction steering wheel if that makes a difference?

Thanks

Craig

Don't see no reason why it shouldn't be fitted though probably best to get advice from someone with more expertise. The one to ask on here is Ben at Shark performance (shark_90) they do all sorts of electronic mods including cruise control fitting, so should give a more definitive answer.

Ian

It depends on what steering column control unit you have fitted, a lot of the early ones can't be coded for cruise.

Gah! So having maxidot and a mf steering wheel doesn't negate that then?
