1.2 TSI tuning..?

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Been looking at the 1.2 TSI (105 bhp) as I´m perhaps concidering a new car.

What is the potential for the engine, regarding remapping? Is approx. 120-130 bhp within reach? I´m told it´s running without supercharger, but can such one be fitted, or is it very expensive / complicated?

Bgds Dan

I thought all TSI engines used both a supercharger and turbo :)

nope, only the "twincharged" variants - i.e the 1.4 TSi 170/180 (only one so far AFAIK).

Yes the 1.2 TSi is turbo only. Very very small turbo though! Will give you RR figures for a stock version (well, bar a £20 universal cone filter) next Sunday, my Fabia is off to hit AmD`s rolling road as part of a group meet. Rumour is the 105 variant is pushing about 115+ standard.

No maps available yet, its an ECU out jobby which apparently no-one does yet - see the EDC17 sticky thread in the Shark Performance sub-form.

Edit - and techincally the 1.4 is a TFSi not a TSi!
