Hello.This is my first post on here and I hope not the last!

Ive joined because after a couple of months looking for a new car Ive finally settled on a 2006 Fabia Vrs.

I have today bought the Fabia from Basingstoke Skoda.

Its a Red one with 32000 on the clock and seems to be in VGC.

Pick up will be on Thursday and then I can really start to enjoy it.

I think it will be very different from the Pug 107 I traded in.

Hi guys and thanks for the welcome.

Im really looking forward to getting my car on Thursday and like a kid at christmas cant wait!

The reg by the way is MF06 UHM. Anyone come across it at anytime?

So what do you reckon the do's and dont's of a VRS are?

Im thinking of Mudflaps as a first addition as I reckon those big wheels are throw some muck up my nice clean motor!

Well yesterday was supposed to be VRS day! NO.

Dealer managed to make a mistake(god knows how) and got my car mixed up with another!

Ok so "ready tomorow sir,very sorry"

So have I got it? NO "sorry again sir but during the service the oil drain plug was found to be rounded off so got to wait for a new one". Now it looks like Monday. So far then Skoda havn't made me a happy driver and I dont even have the car yet!

Neigbour with a Fabia Mk4 called me recently, his drivers door and the rear (right) passenger doors were partly open with what looked like a stainless steel rod jamming the two doors in their partly open/closed positions, to make a long story short, it was the door umbrella that apparently had shot out somehow or other and jammed the two doors, he had partially opened the back door to let his dog out I think and had let his own door partially open, or something like that. Octy 2 1.4TSI ESTATE CAXA Quite uncertain where to enter this question. The keyfob#1 has started to cause serious problems with the car alarm system. So far keyfob#2 is working with no problem. Car alarm starting randomly and only disconnecting the battery helped. Yesterday the alarm kept sounding/flashing even when the engine was running - undrivable. Is there a home cure whereby I can remap/reset the key fob? My very helpful auto sparks is unable to help

Hi I am thinking of getting a Elrok as our first ev replacing or Karoo. Looking at the edition model 85. I wondered if there were any real world views from owner about their experience especially if the first ev owned. Secondly I have been offered an 82kw Elrok from a dealer in stock but another dealer has 84KW available in the next month or so from another.
