hello,

ive got a 95' reg, favorit GLXIe Flairline, with a very irrataing problem,

when i accerate usally in second and third the engine just cuts out like the ignition has been cut!

tried to solve the issuse to no avail, repalced / servced the following

ECU - replaced

injector body (including injector and asscoiated wiring/plugs and sensors) - replaced

air filter - replaced

fuel filter - replaced

fuel lines -cleaned out

spark plugs - cleaned and gap reset

all HT leads - replaced

distributor cap - replaced

rotor arm - replaced

fuel pump relay - replaced

fuel pump fuses and ECU fuses - replaced

fuel pump relay and fuses harness - replaced

checked for water in fuel

checked and tested and cleaned most sensors (excluding lambda)

new fuel in tank

checked most cables for damage (all the engine management system)

im not to sure what else i can do really, has anybody got any ideas atall anything would be helpfull!!

also does anyone know how to remove the fuel pump from the tank, have had the tank top off and can get to the top of the pump, haynes manual says to twist it to the left but it wont budge tried twisting pulling and still wont come out anyone know why or how to remove??

any help will be greatly appreciated

cheers kris

the pump goes aticlockwise to remove. there are 3 holes around the outer edge that a tool goes into . a 3 leg oil filter removal tool will do the job if its tight.

it does sound like it may be the pump that is faulty

 Check/clean/replace the flywheel position sensor.

Does the car still have the original [awful!] Skoda immobilizer with plastic key? If so, get rid, it's wired into the starter and fuel pump circuits.

ive already done the flywheel sensor that works fine,

and hmmm i never really thought about that, although when the car stalls its self, i dont have to rest the imobiliser to restart the car.... but how wud i go about stripping that out??

id hazard a guess that shes suffering starvation

i already looked into starvation, fuel delivery is good, and she doesnt cough or splutter literaly just dies like the igniton key has been pulled out, although i am wondering wether it could be an intermitant fault with the pump.... not to sure tho..

thank you for the ideas though :)

Quite a few Felicias and Favorits seem to have suffered from dodgy wiring on the fuel pump causing this sort of problem, with certain motions causing the pump to lose some or all power - I'd say definitely get it out and looked at ;)
