Tow hook on the front.....Thread?

Featured Replies

Hey, I've used search, but as search is crap, nothing relevant really come up......

Regarding the toweing hook on the front of the car, does anyone know what thread it is? I know it's reverse thread, and quite course, but has anyone got any sizes?

I haven't got one, and I need a toweing hook, and was gonna make one using the right size bolt and a proper toweing strap....

Cheers.

Cheers for the tip, saves a lot of hassle!

I've narrowed it down further, I know that on an Ibizia mk3, (Which I assume uses the same thread,) it's imperial.

Anyone else know any numbers?

Are you going for the 'Stanton sticking the tongue out look'? - or is this for functionality???

Thanks for the pic, do you know any numbers etc for future reference? :D

Kinda....the towing strapwill be there at all times.....tucked behind the fog surround. Only on shoe for track (where it's required).

My towing eye is in permanently. Fitted for SWMBO to tow me to the garage when the turbo blew.

It cross threaded due to SWMBO's "aggressive" pull aways  and ain't coming out!!

I painted mine with the green I used for the brakes, no need for a 'tow' sticker, you can't miss it!

I'm sure that Regal sell a complete kit for attaching tow straps - iirc its about £50, which seems a little pricey...

I've seen those Gareth, hoping that there is a cheaper way!

Correction - Regal sell the tow strap (in various colours) and the adapter to attach for £45.

pretty pricey from regal, anyone aware of anywhere else that do the adapters?
