VRS Fuel Flap ???

Featured Replies

Anybody had any problems with the Fuel Flap or remote release for it in the car ?

Reason being that mines just stopped working, just filled up with diesel and it won't shut/lock.

Remote pull inside car is still spring loaded, but the catch inside the fuel flap isn't moving when you pull the release.

Any thoughts or quick fixes or do I call the Skoda garage tomorrow?

Call the garage.

The cable usually pops out in the o/s/r 1/4 panel, just need to pop the side boot trim back a bit and reach in. your dealer should be able to sort it pretty quickly.

Thanks Ross,

Spot on, thats exactly what was wrong. Two minute job to refit ( its not the tightest fit in world ) I added some tape just to keep it secure.

Any reason this kinda thing is not actually resolved by putting in a proper clip or a cablie tie or summit? Seems if it's a known problem it ought to be resolved, the cost should be minimal surely?
