warning light?

Featured Replies

Hi

Have got a warning light on the dash (pings when you turn engine on too), it's a yellow circle with 3 yellow blocks to each side.

I believe this is telling me that my brake pads are low.

Thing is, i've now inspected the pads visually and they have planty of friction material left!

Could it be a faulty light, as i've recently had a couple of warning lights come on then go off! or more likely a loose wire (where does this connect to the brakes so i can check)

Thanks

Could be warning for low brake fluid if the pads are looking ok. iirc, the pad wear sensor is on the front nearside inside pad, so a bit of a PITA to check!

Mine does this now and then. I changed a front shock last year and I think I hit the wire with a BFO hammer lol

Had my pads changed monday and it came back on after that, although it's gone again now

Mine usually pops back up when going over a big bump in the road

thanks guys, i'll check again asap.

After all, brakes are pretty essential!

Mine does it now n then think its the sensor wire on the left front wheel. Jack car up remove the wheel and check it first could be a bad connection or something

Did my nearside front wheel bearing today and the pad sensor fits on inside pad in middle, mine looks like it just starting to catch sensor so am expecting light to come on soon but inside of my front discs have worn funny so i actually have loads of pad left except where sensor is, might pop it out at weekend and tape it up out of way i think
