skoda wheels and family

Featured Replies

HI,KESY HERE CAN ANYONE TELL ME IF THE WHEELS FROM ANY OF THE SKODA FAMILY WILL FIT A BLACK MAGIC ELEGANCE17INCH RIMS I HEAR THAT AUDI A4 WHEELS OR MK5 GOLF WILL FIT.

Some use 4 bolts some use 5 bolts to secure wheel.

My MK1 Fabia VRS has 5 bolts.

Count how many bolts you have for your wheels, my guess is 4 bolts. ??

As to different rims, the Fabia VRS will accept 17" rims, but,

that's only what I have read on this site.

Members with first hand experience can/will advise you, much better.

both our fabia vrs and the yeti, have 5 bolt fixing.

i wouldn't swear to it but i think the yeti and fabia have different bolt centres (the distance across the wheel between opposite bolts)

whatever you fit, you will need to make sure the overall diameter of any wheel tyre combination is the same as standard or it will throw the speedo out

It depends on the age of the A4 and/or the model. Golf V should be ok but it's still worth making 100% sure.

Take a look at the numerous winter tyre/wheel threads and The Plumbers guide for full details. TPs guide is particularly helpful.

Basically you need wheels with PCD of 112mm (PCD = diameter of an imaginary circle drawn through the centre of the 5 bolt holes)

In general, Fabia, Polo and older Golf and Octavia wheels have the smaller PCD of 100mm and will never fit a Yeti.

The other things to think of are the offset, centre spigot diameter as well as ensuring that the wheels have the correct diameter.

My set up comprises 16'' wheels from an A4 Avant Quattro fitted with 215/60 Falken winter tyres and the whole lot was a doddle to fit and quite cheap too.

These should be OK; what though is the rim width? 6J, 6.5J or 7J?

Should do the job quite nicely!

Not sure what offset the Yeti have, but I am pretty sure it is PCD 112 5 Studs, which means most Audi A4 / A6 (from 1996) will fit, A3 (Mk1), Golf (pre-MkV) will not. Not sure about Fabia.
