Does key fob loose settings when changing battery?

Featured Replies

My Honda was great...

To change battery use 10p to put in slot, turn 20 degrees to remove circular cover, pop out old , add new CR2025 battery

replace cover use 10p again to lock cover...Job done.

Now comes the good bit......NO REPROGAMMING OR TRIP TO DEALERS. Cost £2

Even dealer would change both for £5.

(settings are retained for at least 3 minutes or longer for all I know (as I dropped battery and took an age to find it).

Previous Nissan.........Having service done by non Nissan garage....please change battery....

Oh dear won't now work.....you need to take to a Nissan dealer for re-programming.....£48 PLEASE.

Whats the Skoda method.....Like HONDA I hope!!!
