Rubbing strips

Featured Replies

I've managed to err... rub the rubbing strips (Final score: stone gatepost 1 - 0 the car :( ). After the nice man from chipsaway has been, I thought I might look at replacing them - anyone done it?

Biggest problem you'll probably have is removing the remains of the old strips.

Once that's done the rest is easy (and cheap!)

Genuine Fabia strips are only about thirteen quid (going on memory here so bear with me) from the dealer. They come with a good fitting guide with all the necessary measurements. Easily fitted in less than half an hour. Best done on a warm day or in a warm garage.

Cheers

Ta.

The man from Chipsaway said he could do it as part of the paint repair, that might just be easier.

Just bought full set of rubbing strips for my fabia.

Do they fit the current vRS? Not sure if the bumpers are the same in the relevant areas...

Ooh?! I as talking about the strips along the doors. Haven't got a clue about the ones around the front and rear.
