Spare Wheel

Featured Replies

Maybe getting a Skoda Octavia or Fabia estate for new company car - but didnt like the spare wheel policy..... is it a repair can on all models?? or can you buy a spare wheel ????

With the Fabia there is a factory option for a space saver or a full-size wheel, not expensive.

IIRC is it not about £45??

£65 I think I read in the Fabia brochure ...

No worries I must be thinking of another manufactuer

It is not an optional extra on all models.

On my Fabia Greenline II Estate you can't specify the Spare Wheel to keep CO2 down. So you have to buy it later as a kit (£120) that includes the spare, a jack, wheelbrace and insert to put in the hole in the boot floor. Yes, it still has the hole for the spare to go in, even if it doesn't come with one.

spare wheel is roughly £45 there about and 17.5% off or now 20% vat, includes all the bits n pieces I was not happy without this specked so ordered when bought the car

Sounds a bit of a rippoff. My Greenline cant have a spare specced either for the same reasons as yours, however I do have a jack and wheel brace along with the can of goo and an inflator pump.

I bought a wheel and tyre myself then went to the scrappy to get a Fabia wheel insert for the tools. Saved a bundle.

I managed to blag one when I ordered the car, along with mudflaps, bootliner, rubber mats for winter and storage boxes

Unfortunately its what all the manufacturers are doing, but you are getting a tyre and all the tools for a very cheap price, the only reason that you get a spare wheel and stuff they have allready factored this into the price,so skoda are not ripping you off at all,and its got a lot to do with the regulations emissions from europeemoticon-0112-wondering.gif
