Just had a call from the dealer to say that my SM has arrived. Original delivery date at time of order was June, then a few weeks ago confirmed as build in late January for delivery mid Feb. Now got a call today to say it's here (and I have to pay for it within 10 days!).

A bit unexpected and means I have to get the money together quicker than I thought but I might get to use it in the snow after all!

No, it's a 170 diesel. (Well at least I hope it is! )

The ten day bit is insistence by Skoda to meet the commitment of 17.5% VAT rate.

Truth be told I was a bit miffed that it was coming so early as I had organised the money around a later delivery date. But I'm over it now!

Yes, I'm amazed too - when did you order? I ordered a 170 diesel back in mid August and am still waiting (it has allegedly been built this week but I am awaiting confirmation) - I was told the 170 diesel engine was the cause of the delay!

That good news enjoy you sm . talking to my dealer on Thursday he did say he has 3 tdi yetis and some octys coming in 2 mouths earlier than originally expected (still hope for tp and my yetis coming this year )

I agree with you. No one more surprised than me. Ordered mid November with a few extras and arrived nine and a half weeks later. Having read other threads on here about delays I really wasn't expecting it yet.

I am left with a rather strange and very unBritish feeling of virtual queue jumping. Apologies to all those still waiting.
