Recommend headphones for i-pod?

Featured Replies

Anyone recommend any headphones for i-pod, in ear ones that will stay in whilst running,

I've got narrow ear canals and the standard ones have to be jammed right in but still fall

out intermittently, budget? up to around £20

Cheers

No idea if they're any good or not having never used, but I got given these for Christmas (2009) and have never even opened them as I can't use that style of 'phone. Open to offers on them now really as they're just gathering dust now! (Warranty'd till Decemeber 2011 I think too.)

Appreciate that but I'll politely decline making an offer, performance seems ok from reviews but there's a

question mark on reliability, thanks anyway

No worries - might just use them as a cat toy at this rate!

If you can push your budget further, I have some Shure in-ears, highly recommended.

They are spot on for sound quality, they will not budge out of your ears as well, they use expanding foam, like ear defenders.

I was about to recommend Sennheiser CX - series, as they really are good headphones, but I see you've vetoed them. I've had a set for over 3 years and have only recently started playing up; not bad considering I use them when running so they're out in all weather and the plug is always jigging about.

Trigger PM me a price if you like. Are you sure they're mark II's?

Will PM a price after Topgear :)

I use a pair of Sony MDR EX38IP -they come with 3 sets of earbuds, so you can get the best fit. They also have Ipod remote switching.

I've got Shure SE530's and they sound sublime......but for £400 over your budget they should do!!! ( I didn't pay that but thats what they are supposed to be) tip though, buy the best you can afford and you'll find your Ipod sounds like a completely different animal!

the CX300's and CX500's are excellent.

Wanna buy another pair then?

I have a pair of Senheiser which I've had for about 5 years and they're brilliant headphones. They cost about £20 when I bought them, they've been through the wash several times and they still sound awesome.

During a recent holiday I thought I'd lost them and I got suckered into paying £125 for a pair of Shure headphones from the airport. Brilliant noise cancelling ability but the sound quality is abysmal. Tinny, muffled and weak. So much so that they never come out of the drawer now.

I found the trusty Senheisers, again in the wash, and they're still going strong.
