Rubbish loose hairy weave carpet in my Octy VRS. They are all furring up from kids shoes on the tunnel at the back. Why do Fords and Vauxhalls have better quality weaves that don't do this?

No excuse in my opinion.

The quality of ALL Skoda mats has detiorated in the last 2 years.

My wifes Fabia has had them replaced...but they wont replace them again

I am indeed, but whilst I am ranting. The mats are crap as well.

I am thinking about getting one of those Remington fuzz removers to shave away the horrible long strands, but where do you stop? I imagine that after a couple of years the carpet will be bald.

it is just the twisting action of kids shoes. The rubber soles just pull the pile out. When you vacuum the car out it makes it even worse.

Couldn't agree more, personally I think this is just the start of the slippy slope.

However you can't complain too much if the only thing we can find wrong the cars are the quality of the carpets and mats (still no excuse tho!)

Hi its always been the same in skoda's the interior carpet are awful,but as someone just wrote if this is all we have to complain about WOW,no but seriously though what we should be doing as a forum with many members is voice our complaints,otherwise nothing will get doneB)

Sorry I have to disagree, there was nothing wrong with the carpets in my 2004 Superb Comfort, they were proper 'normal' carpets, totally different to the felt like stuff Skoda now use .

Good quality carpets and mats are fitted to my '05 Superb too.
