Symphony Removal

Featured Replies

Tried to get my Symphony unit out with a junior hack saw blade (wasn't happening) and now im just goint to bite the bullet and spend a quid or two.

I believe I can use the Kenwood removal keys, but Halfrauds offer a pre 2001 and a post 2001 key. I imaging post 2001, is this correct?

Also any added tips, I took the glove box off but with the blades the radio didn't seem to want to relese itself, even though I could feel that the blades were doing something to the clips (probably cutting them :giggle: )

Cheers

Pop down to the nearest dealer and ask them to pop it out, I'm sure they'll do it FOC.

I can't find mine at present (hope I didn't leave them in the old car!) but I'm pretty sure from Googling that it's the "post" ones mine look like...

Did you try taking the tray under out too? Can't remember which comes first...

I knew one was before the other but couldn't remember which - I'd taken it all out on my 2004vRS but a long time ago and I can't remember why...

Kenwood unit purchased Dec 10 - keys in box worked like a charm :)

The kenwood keys did work, and after some severe finger torture I managed to fit the aux wire from the connect2 box to a nifty place.
