Bought our first Skoda in October 2010 and is very comfortable to drive but the airbag fault light has now appeared.

The garage said it is a fault with the off side seat airbag and can only be fixed by paying a massive amount of money but more worryingly they have said that NONE of the other airbags will work while there is a fault detected, is this correct?

We are now currently saving up to have the problems put right but in the meantime I'm scared to drive, just in case.

Check the wires and connections under the seat, apparently they can become loose.

The garage did check the connections under the seat, but thanks for the reply. They seem to think it is the side air bag module? Not sure whether another garage can fix it for a more reasonable price - just wondered if anyone else had had a similar problem.

Love the car otherwise though!
