hi all, ive bought a felicia pick up "R" reg diesel and the ignition key is lost, are they chipped/coded.

ive also got a "W" reg felicia car that im breaking, will the complete ignition fit,

They are coded, yes.Swapping the ignition barels wont work I dont think

You could swap the ignition barrels, but you'd still need to re-code the immobiliser for the new keys. If the car is also a diesel you could swap the immo box as well (it might be necessary to swap the control unit on the bottom of the fuel pump too, I'm not sure) to transfer the whole system over without reprogramming, but that won't work if it's a petrol immo box. If you don't have a suitable diesel donor to hand you're going to need someone with the right equipment to reprogram the immobiliser - someone with a VAGTacho cable or a locksmith with VW-compatible tools.
