Featured Replies

hi

i am in the middle of changing the ignition switch on my felicia 1.3mpi 1998

i lost the connections on the switch when i took it out so am unsure as ti the correct connections

i have stripped it out but now i am reconnecting the switch i have used the following connections.

red to 30

white to 16

black to 15

yellow to 50

p nothing connected

having tried the electrics with the steering wheel still out i find that all is working ok but i have no wipers or washers. fuse seems ok (fuse 2 i think)

is there any reason the wipers wouldnt work with the wheel out . am i missing something!

thanks

marty

any ideas greatefully receioved

Having the wheel off should only affect the horn and driver's airbag (if fitted). I'd check the stalk connector and the earthing point near the steering column - if the horn won't work either it's almost certainly a bad earth here.

The blower motor and sidelight switch also earth to point 5 (near the column) - I think it's becoming clear where the issue is ;). For the warning buzzer, you've probably switched on the rear foglight switch - post-facelift models with the buzzer in the instrument cluster do this even if the sidelights are off.
