Alright Guys and Girls!

Welcome to Briskoda

Hello and welcome. I am just coming up to my first year of ownership of a Furby 2. It was a bit of a disaster for a start, got a smashed windscreen and had to have back door catch redone within six weeks of getting it so felt a bit jinxed.

I didnt get metallic paint and wish I had done now. As with all new cars it was a bit thirsty and sluggish at first but suddenly the car will get its voom, reduce petrol consumption and go like a dream. Mine is petrol but next time I may consider diesel due to below.

I do large amounts of miles for work and for me it is just what I needed.

The guys on here are a great help and I have only made it to one meet up and they are a mine of info and tips.

Hope this helps

I test drove the new VRS on sunday and was very impressed with it. To be fair though, I am currently driving a standard corsa C sxi (non-boyracer-big-exhaust edition). Not exactly the pinnacle of automotive transport  . Driven the folks old Fabia VRS and current Octy VRS and been impressed with both of them so thought i'd maybe go for a Skoda for my first brand new car! Hopefully I don't have any horror stories to share with you guys though. The great thing about it is as well, I can just tell my friends i'm possibly buying a new 1.4 litre Skoda and bask in their confusion. I absolutely love the Skoda snobbery. Pulling up next to someone in their VW or Audi and looking at their face as they turn their nose up at you just makes the car all the more desirable to me as I know just how reliable and well crafted these Czech counterparts are!

Absolutely 100% looking forward to owning my 1st Furby!

Thanks for the warm welcome from everyone too! :)

Hi and welcome aboard.

PS Frobb I moved from a Corsa which I had had since brand new but it was an old Y reg. Didnt like the new Corsas.

Not a new corsa I've got. It's a 54 plate. I was looking at a second hand Corsa VXR though. The insurance is ridiculous and they look a bit Chavy so opted not to!

It appear that Corsa has become the boy racer car of choice. The insurance of the Y reg corsa was actually more than the brand new fabia

I'm just turned 20 so I know alllllll about insurance being a stinker! 1.4 Corsa did the trick for a while but want something nice, fast, understated so I don't constantly get pratts looking for a race and something to waste my hard earned cash on! :D

Fabia fits :)
