I am about to change the discs and pads all round and am not sure which parts to order.

Looking at the Europarts web page there are parts to suit cars with PR codes 1LB:1LM or 1LQ:1LR.

In my service book and inside the boot there is a sticker with the options fitted to my car but none of the above codes are mentioned.

Can anybody help me with which parts to order which will fit my car please?

Sorry, this is a 2005 Fabia VRS. And yes I meant the eurocarparts. Web page. There seem to be 2 types of discs and pads for the Fabia VRS.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Front discs are 288mm x 25mm

Rear discs are 232mm x 9mm

also speak to TPS and get a quote for OEM disks and pads! They might be slightly cheaper at Euro, but IMHO I believe the OEM products are better quality and will last a lot longer as they are made just for the car, and not made to fit afterwords!

I WOULD ADVISE YOU DOUBLE CHECK ALL OF THESE

I too get my Discs and pads from E-Bay, but standard ones, usually 'Mintex' brand.

These work-out a little cheaper particularly if both front & rear bought from same seller.

Reluctant to upgrade rear discs to the drilled & grooved type, as they still get so dam rusty, for lack of use due to the vehicle braking ratios.

Is the wear sensors on the rear pad? a Skoda dealer was telling me the sensor is on the front nearside?? where as alot of Motor factors are saying there is no sensor on the VRS pads... grrrr im unable to get a proper look myself and im due for a change myself...

I think brake pad sensors are fitted to cars with Variable servicing. I don't think the vRS came with this option so, wear indicators are not needed. If the new pads come with a sensor wire, all you need to do is cut the wire off at the pad.

my fabia vrs 06 has brake pad wear indicator on nearside front of car.

rear brakes have no indicators

No pad wear sensor on my 06 vrs !

The mintex pads I got had the wire for the sensor but for knowhere to plug it in I just cut the wires off !

I'll second that about the MTEC discs. I have them on my civic and think they are still on my old fabia.

I'd go for "grooved only" just reduce the risk of the disc cracking. Not that mine have but have heard reports of this being common for the drilled OEM discs from MTEC

i do the servicing myself every 5k miles.

as for variable servicing im not sure although people i know work in vw call it the self destruct service interval because the pd engine isnt capable of going without oil change for 20-25k.

my service light on dash just comes on when it feels like it and i just reset as and when i need to.

My late June 2005 Fabia VRS has no wear pad sensors (front nor rear).

If buying pads with the wires on, I just snip them off.

Help needed!!!! Changing my front pads and disks on an 06 fabia vrs, confused on whether to go vented drilled both or standard? What brands are good, places to buy from? Don't want anything special but slightly stronger than standard would be good?..

Try these, can't see advantage to have grooved/drilled front discs when using original calipers, and as to the rear, they rust like blazes in a very short space of time.

I'd personally avoid putting unknown branded brakes on my car!

OEM discs and Ferrodo DS2500 pads.

My car is standard, not touched anything does mine have the 288 or 280mm front disc 

If it's the Fabia MK1 VRS then it has 288mm front brake discs, with 232mm at the rear.

do the Mk1 and Mk2 fabia vrs share the same brake discs and pads? cant tell if they are the same sizes and pads?
