Not new to Skoda's, had a Favorit, one of the first 1.9D Felicia's in the country, an Octavia 1.9TDi Elegance, my wife has a 1.9TDi Fabia and last June I was an inch away from buying a new Superb Elegance but they just couldn't get me one soon enough so I ended up with a VW Passat Highline 2.0CR Tdi DSG.

My Dad 's been very impressed with the DSG on my Passat and now he's retrired my parents have decided to go down to one vehicle, my Dad has a Jeep (Which my Mum wont drive) and my Mum has a Fiesta.

He likes the Fabia and would like DSG but had a major issue with having a "1.2" and wouldn't take my word for how it would drive. So today managed to get a test drive in a manual TSi and he was very impressed.

So after a few hours of dealing with a couple of dealers the order's been placed with Rainworth Motors Mansfield.

I'll probably talk him into Bluetooth and MFSW by the time it has a build date.

They are quoting 18-22 weeks for delivery so it'll be a long wait. Going to have a look for an 11 plate with is initials on and get it him for his 70th later this year.

Good choice! Heated seats are lovely and the MFSW has been useful.We had a fair few options fitted to ours so ask any questions.

Thanks for the replies, a bit difficult to quote the exact price because a trade in was involved so all dealing was done as price to swap rather than price for the Fabia. From the original VAT off price to change we managed to move another £500 so that paid for the paint and options.

Can't see them going for Sunset Glass as that's one reason why my mum wont drive the Jeep. My Dad's leaning towards having bluetooth and MFSW and he may as well for how much it is.

Trouble is this has got my wife wanting a 1.2 TSi DSG SE Hatchback in Sprint Yellow.

Rainworth have a Superb Elegance 2.0CR TDi 170 DSG with extras in the show room for £27k, if they had got that in last June I'd have had it over the Passat.
