What Products?

OK,

I'm a complete newbie at detailing - I've only recently heard of the term and even the two bucket method was unkown to me! I've just bought a new vRS and want to keep it in tip top condition - limited swirls etc. I'm having a full pro detailing job done next week by Midlands Detailing with a sealant (Opti-Seal) rather than wax. I've already purchased the following:

  1. Two Buckets and Grit Guard
  2. Megs Gold Class Shampoo
  3. Sonus Der Wunder drying towls
  4. Chemical Guys Quick Detailing Spray
  5. Nilfisk Pressure Washer C110
  6. Lambs Wool Wash Mit
  7. Billberry Wheel Cleaner and a great little pressure dispenser, like you'd use in a garden on weeds!

Now to my question.

What other products would the experts on here advise me to buy? Not brand specific but actual products (Clay, Foam etc.)?

My plan is to buy a Foam Lance and 5ltr Snow Foam next. Is that a good choice?

Any help will be appreciated.

Rich this will entirely depend on what sort of detail your having done mate?

Paul I am sure will give you advice on what products he would suggest for you to use after the detail depending on what sort of products he may use on the car............

You'll need some Optiseal to top it up every 2-3 months, I use it on my alloys. I'd get a foaming spray bottle for the Billberry and use the pump spray with APC for the arches and wheels/tyres. Only use the Billberry as a deep clean, also use the Optiseal on your alloys. I'd also get the glass sealed with Carlac.
