Nets in Footwell - available?

Featured Replies

Looked up this image for another reason this morning, but spotted those nets in the footwell, fixed to the transmission tunnel.

Anyone know if they're available in black and have a part number? Thanks!

Cheers,

Steve

Oh great, thanks guys. Sorry, must have missed that discussion. If you can find a link then

Just that I spotted them in that pic, and a lightbulb went on :)

Cheers,

Steve

Surely a dealer can supply these?

I'd have thought so. Just if anyone had a part number, as it makes it an awful lot easier.

That interior looks very classy

looking at the picture appears to be for a 5 speed gear box

sorry yes - it is the same style though as a query was posted on another website and Wardy posted the pic of the Superb hence this thread about the nets! :S

Part No. 3TO 867 689

Got this number of another forum ...

Hope this helps!

Sorry didn't see .......already posted before! :giggle:

I purchased one from Superskoda and gave it to my dealer who agreed to fit it prior to my taking delivery of the car.

I was presented with the net when I collected the car and was told the dealer's mechanic had damaged the trim trying to fit it! However, the dealer had replaced the damaged trim and was convinced it wasn't a part meant for an Octavia but for a Superb.

I have since told them to check pg 88 of the Octavia owner's manual; I await their response...

Thanks for the info. Don't really understand the Superb/Octy issue though. It's a part that fits into the carpet against the transmission tunnel. It's the same process of fitting, no matter which model you're putting it into!

For info, the black net part number is 3T08676899B9

Dealer cost £21.95.

Might order one soon, although that is a fair bit of cash for a small net on the transmission tunnel....

..that has no obvious use.

I had a similar net on an S2000 many years ago, even with that car's limited storage space I couldn't really understand what it would be used for.

I can think of a fair few uses actually. Which is why I thought it might be a good mod

I'm still struggling for a use...What are you thinking for it?

Nothing revolutionary. Maybe the case for the satnav when in use (more convenient than the glovebox), notebook, maybe bits of paper required at my destination? Just odds and ends that can temporarily be stored while travelling really. It's why I'm maybe not too sure about spending that amount of money. Also doesn't really seem good value-for-money, considering the likely manufacturing cost!

These are similar and much cheaper

Cheers for that - looks good

What I meant was that I couldn't see anything that I'd want to store in there that I couldn't put in the door pockets or jumbo box, and £22 for 50p of plastic and string, even by VAG standards, takes the ****.

It's OK, you're not forced to buy and fit them.... ;)
