Quick question for VRS owners

Featured Replies

Right, to cut a long story short i've had all manner of problems with electrics which accumulated with the drivers door trim panel being removed to fix a short. However, yesterday I went to adjust the wing mirror on R ( the drivers one) and the left one moved as well!! When its set in left only the left mirror moves.

Now when I asked the local Skoda garage they said this is normal!

I've owned the car for almost 4 years and never noticed both wing mirrors moving when set in R. I always thought that R just moved the right mirror and L moved the left. Is this right? Or an I going mad!!

BTW, its a 53 VRS.

This is totally normal.

Later cars had independent adjustment for the mirrors.

Our 55 plate vRS doesn't do that but my '01 mkIV Golf did. I actually found it useful for reversing into spaces etc.

Thanks guys. I can't believe that I never noticed that the R setting moved both mirrors! LOL! !

But then again I think I moved the mirrors twice since I've own the car! !!

This is a weekly question lol
