I want clear repeaters, what VAG?

Featured Replies

As the title, have Orange ATM

where can i get clear from?

easy to remove?

you can lever them out with a flat bladed screwdriver. i've been looking for some clear ones to fit my pickup, it looks like the ones from a mk3 golf should fit without too many hassles, i'm going to get myself up the scrappyard on monday to find some that fit

I think i might just start PMing you my questions from now on!

Let me know how it goes!

Do you work for BRISKODA?

I just ordered some White ones from Skoda when doing my Fun, they list both..

:giggle: ha, alas no, i'm just an ethusiast really..

there are a few very knowledgeable people on here if you look about a bit

Lenses from the late mk3/mk4 Golf, Polo, Passat, etc. of that era are all pretty much the same and should physically fit, but there are about 3 different bulb holder/connector setups on the VW ones, none of which seem to match either of the two different setups used on the Felicia.

Oddly Skoda list clear repeaters for post-facelift models (about £15 each) but they don't seem to have been fitted as standard to any UK model - I've seen some of these in an ex-dealer job lot on eBay recently, so they do exist, but I've not checked to confirm they're still available to order new.

the side repeaters are on a short loom, you could always unplug it, after all it's only 2 wires so you could always do a cut and shut to make them work, the ones i like the look of is the dark smoked ones from a vr6 highline

Indeed, it's just the issues of whether there's to cut enough off the VW loom (which don't look to have the plug-in extensions the Felicia has), and how to make a connection that'll survive everything that gets chucked up inside the wheelarch, that I'd rather avoid the hassle of if at all possible. When I get round to doing mine I'll probably end up going for mk4 Golf units and ordering a bunch of connector pins to crimp a pair of custom looms, perfectionist that I am! ;)

Genuine lights.

^ i quite like those ross, although i'm not sure how that will look on mine now that's grey.

I have to agree, think I might get me a pair of those. And honestly Tom....Orange on the grey? Yuk! Clear may not be perfect, but way way waaaaaaaaay better than orange surely?

Alex

precisely why i want the smoked ones from a vr6... in fact i might just rob the ones off my golf and use them :giggle:

Ah I see. That would indeed be much better even than clear ones.

right geezers, been up the scrappy dappy doo yard today and it appears that there actually nothing else that fits a felicia, the slot in the wing is not thick enough to take the mk4 golf ones, the 6n polo and mk3 golf both have the same repeaters and they are too thick... i'm sure that if you had a dremel you could grind out the slot a bit to make them fit but i'm damned if i'm going to grind out my freshly painted wings, i'll just order some of the oe skoda white ones :wonder:

In Lazarus somewhere, I remember seeing the lensing of a repeater, but not the reflector. It didn't seem broken in anyway or with any of the reflector housing still holding on. Could you not get the smoked lenses and transplant them onto the original reflectors? ;)

sounds like a lot of balls-ache to me tbh, the lense is only glued onto the reflector though so it should be possible to do it i'd say

Just a thought that's occurred to me about removing the repeaters themselves: there should be no need to pry them out and risk scratches - I found with mine I could just reach up inside the wheelarch, squeeze the clips on the ends together and push it out that way. Then you just twist it off the bulb.

Hi there i have a set of clear ones going if any ones intrested but i am after the leather seas and door cards if any one knows where some are its like finding a niddle in a hay stack

join the club mate, i'm scouring all the usual suspects for a leather interior too.... if one comes up on here you best be quick :giggle:
