Robert Kubica injured

Featured Replies

Just picked up on a news article that suggests Robert Kubica has been injured while rallying a Fabia Super2000 in italy. His co driver is OK but Robert has been taken to hospital with several suspected fractures.

Hope things aren't as bad as they sound and he recovers soon.

Hope is ok, and that it wont affect his seat in F1 this season, a genuinely good race driver!

Could loose is hand. Hope he is ok and gets back to driving a F1 car.

Racing a Fabia as well :(, hope he makes a full recovery, but he is out of F1 for this year

On the BBC it said "Kubica crashed after his car hit a church wall as he approached the start of the Ronde di Andora rally". So he wasn't even racing!

He's a good driver and not particularly pretentious either, so hopefully he'll make a full recovery. I can't see him competing in the first half of the season though with an injury like that, could be out even longer.

No, that's incorrect. He was 4.5km into the stage when he hit the wall but what did the damage was a metal crash barrier whose end was exposed and went straight through the front of the car.

Wish Robert all the best for a speedy recovery.

Just found this in on Youtube.

Poor guy doesnt have much luck really.

imho he is the best driver in F1.

I feel most for Renault mind. In Kubica they had a driver that would put the Renault at the front, and win if given half a chance. Without him they are stuffed and consined to the mid field.

Hope he does recover (quick) and my god was he lucky that wasnt more serious
