Featured Replies

Hi sorry about all these questions , am a taxi driver just bought car 3 weeks ago lad said the last service done on the car was oct, now when i turn the car on it says service in 800 miles or 209 days any ideas what i need to do etc thanks

The service is either set for fixed at 10k or 12 months or variable, which is up to 18k or 24 months. Was the service indicator reset when it was serviced? what does the service book say?

And most importantly, how many miles were driven since the last service. If that's around 10-18k, it just means you're in need of a service in 800 miles ;)

It's on fixed. October to now + 209 days is one year. Has the car done 9200 miles since it was serviced in October? About 60 miles/day doesn't seem excessive for a taxi driver.

Same thing happened to me, only had car 6 months and done 11k when my service light lit up, im afraid you will have to have it serviced as the oil will not be the long life stuff, like they put in when its on variable servicing

forgot to say

my vrs was on fixed servicing, had it changed to varible, when i had it serviced last week
