Skoda Coupe 2011?

Featured Replies

Honestly, who thinks up these names?!!

I'd be very surprised if this ever made production - i mean, why bring out a cheaper scirocco and complete with your own cars?! Makes no sense.

Which the Fabia, Octavia and Superb are already doing :)

Exactly. They might theoretically compete but at the end of the day will go to different buyers. And a Škoda coupé sold is still a car sold to the VAG group and not to Hyundai et al.

Someone on this forum also mentioned recently that all Škoda dealers should now be preparing to have a showroom that can show 7 products... work it out yourself. Fabia, Roomster, Octavia, Yeti and Superb. Which leaves the new VW Up baby car and one more thing... a coupé. Not sure when or if the rumoured Škoda version of the Sharan/Alhambra will ever see the light of day...

Dont forget they will de-content it, so it has to be loaded with extras like bmw)

I like coupe's but not this one - too arty f*rty. Hyundai looks better.................the 360M looks even better...ha,ha

I reckon the 7th model will be a 3 door hatch to sit below the Octy in the range but still Golf based. I think this will (at least in the posher models) try to be a coupe in the same way that the 3 door Megane and Astra are marketed as coupes.

Expect the base models to be very "decontented" to compete on price with the Koreans.

Like the Greenline Octavia i doubt they will have gone to all the trouble of making a 'concept' that they won't produce... I think that the Joyster will be released in time and hopefully with a different name... :wonder:

to hopefully takes sales away from Ford, Vauxhall, peugeot etc

No different to Ford with Mazda and Volvo (Focas, 3 and C30)

As mentioned Autoexpress have stated online this week that the Joyster will be put in to production

Also this week Parkers mention the Skoda version of the Up and the model aimed between Fabia and Octavia

At present looks like Joyster will hit the showrooms first. Guess the other two will be launched at Motor shows later in the year

looks like a sirocco with an facelift octavia front end

looks nice though imo

I prefer it over the Scirocco which looks too "squashed" imo

I still think the Joyster is the concept for the sub Octavia hatch. With a 3-door version called a "coupe"

If this does happen I bet it wont look anything like that :p

Would still be nice to have a 5 pot engine . . . be something to trade up to !
