I've been toying with the idea of getting a new Octy vRS.

I like the VAT free offer at the moment - getting even more car for your money.

On the flip-side - it would appear my car isn't worth what I thought it was.

I currently own a 56 Octy vRS

Black, 61k miles, FSH, New Cambelt & Waterpump at 60k miles.

After speaking to a dealer they would only be able to offer me £6000 assuming delivery on a new Octy to be 3 months (so I'm assuming this is the May 2011 price).

So, I'm not getting quite as much back on my car, so I just wondered if there were any deals out there to be had?

If it's worth contacting different dealerships to get different quotes - or are they all towing the line and only offering the 20% discount?

What I'm potentially looking at is:

Octy Hatchback Petrol

Anthracite Grey

Rear Parking Sensors

Maxi-Dot

Auto-Dimming Rear Mirror

Xenon Headlights

Leather Upholstery

Space-Saver Wheel

I make that around £18,288 with the 20%.

Do you think I could get a cheaper quote by shopping around?

Get the Drive The Deal price and start from there. There are some who will beat it, but you'll have to do the legwork of phoning around.

Just looked and DtD are the same price! was a bit shocked at this!
