Hello all and thanks

Featured Replies

I have been a lurker on this site for a few years now. I originally owned an Octavia Ambiente DSG for a couple of years and changed it to a Superb II 2.0Tdi DSG about 18months ago. I must say what a great car it is. Until 5/6 years ago I was in the motor trade involved with buying used Mercedes Benz vehicles for a large main dealer network. Compared to the recent E/class models I would say that the Mercs are a better ride etc, but so they should be considering the price but the Superb is a great alternative and an excellent car for the money. I dont think anything else compares at that price point.

I will share a funny incident with you, I had a guy in my car recently and he was commenting how impressive the new Superb was, as he was saying this a Range Rover pulled out in front of us, being as we both were from a particular part of essex we agreed that they were one of the most common cars in the area. He then admitted that he had a Bentley Coupe and we then joked that they were also fairly common locally. I mentioned that there was more chance of seeing another Bentley Coupe than another Skoda Superb. He agreed that if you want a bit of exclusivity buy a Skoda Superb not a Bentley.

My main reason for coming on was to thank you guys for the huge ammount of advice and info that is available on this site, I have used it many times when seeking information about both of the Skodas that I have owned. Thanks again.
