As the proud owner of 2 vRS's, 1 Fabia MK2 and an Octavia MK2 CR TDi, I like to keep the correct oils in the garage.

So, do I get 2 different oils for each car, or can 1 oil be used in each car?? The last thing I want is to top up the oil in either car and end up looking like the Red Arrows down the motor way......

My local service centre seem to think that 1 oil will do the trick, but I'm not convinced.

The CR will need VW507.00 oil, nothing else will do due to the DPF.

I'm sure someone will confirm what the petrol vRS can run on.

Try asking the Very good Parts guy in your not so local Dealers

Petrol - VW504 Derv with DPF = VW507.

Usually you will find many oils that meet one of these also meet the other (For example Mobil1 esp did last time I looked)

Yup. 5W 30 Fully Synthetic

But not all 5W 30 fully synthetic oils are made to VAG standards, the important thing to look for is VW504.00 & VW507.00
