Quick Detailing with Demon Shine

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

I have read several several topics about Demon Shine and wondered your opinions on it as a QD.

Also, before I carry on, is my understanding of QD correct:

Can QD be used to remove minor dirt or is there a chance of scratching the paint?

What dilution does everybody use Demon Shine as a QD at (if you do use it that is)?

Thanks!

I use it 50/50 in a spray bottle as a QD, after washing and drying and also use it as a drying aid - I use it neat in my Nilfisk spray bottle and rinse the cars with it before drying

I've never used it as a detailing spray before but having used it on one of my previous cars I have to admit I'm impressed with it, think I picked a big bottle of demon shine in B&Q a year or so ago, might use this as detailing spray to save me purchasing the ICE stuff I currently use.

I recently picked up 10x 2 litre bottles from my local Wilkinsons as they were reduced to 50p each

QD is used to remove fingerprints, excess polish residue, etc

in no way should it be used to remove grime or dirt as all you'll do is drag it across the paint. Not so bad on a lighter coloured car as its harder to see swirls but on a dark colour like black it will show up so so easily.

Depending on the make of QD it will enhance glossyness/shine, promote beading and aid drying.

I don't rate it(Demon Shine) as a drying aid though, it does the title describes really, provide shine when you don't want to do a full polish, seal and wax. When you don't want to do all that, you use a product that will save you time by doing a "Quick Detail"

You still have to wash and dry etc.
