Caliper rewind

Featured Replies

Evening all,

Just noticed I need to change my rear pads.

Now I've looked into getting a caliper rewind tool and it lists Audi & VW but not skoda, also when I changed my pads on my mk4 golf turboI didn't use one.

Could someone confirm if it is needed as could do without spending the money if I don't have to.

Thanks

Adam

You need it for the rears, but not for the front.

Something like this:

It is possible to to it with moelgrips etc, but it is possible to damage the handbrake mechanism if you don't push it while it is turning.

Listen to what member rk696 says it's spot-on for being totally correct.

I got a 'LASER 1314' rewind tool from E-Bay £16.00.
