Just wondering if any estate owners have had wiper problems? My back windscreen one has been erratic in operation for a week or two now, but on Saturday it and the front windscreen wipers have stopped completely! A niggly wee fault, but living up here it's a complete pain, as I can't use the car at all with the wind & rain we have to endure. Is this a known fault or just mine I wonder?

Do you by any chance have aftermarket xenons? Apparently the 'Canbus solved/compatible' type can cause wiper trouble. :yes:

Afraid not mate - all standard fayre, so not that unfortunately...

The wipers are covered by the diagnostics facilities on the car, have the codes read and that will at least point you to what the BCM thinks is wrong.

Skoda garage trying different fixes by phone with me this morning to no avail, so off on the ferry it'll be going.....

Bit of a pain tbh, Skoda going to pay ferry fare & hire car costs but it'll be a couple of days away for me and you still have to stay & eat somewhere too... :S

Just an update here - both front & rear wiper motors now replaced under warranty by Victoria Garage in Maud. I understand that the rear motor is a known fault which occurs fairly regularly, but the front one surprised them!

My last estate had a faulty rear wiper which the local dealer couldn't fix, to be honest it was due back to the lease company and I think we all lost intereast in it.

Sounds like a bit of a faulty batch or motor spec.
