gearbox mount as gone on vrs and im sure the dogbone also knocking from around that area if hit the breaks or accelerate hard, are uprated gearbox mounts availble and also uprated dog bone i know viba metrics do one but dont want to spend that much on one

yes uprated engine mounts are available too

but believe me you do not want them

i had vibratecniks dog bone and both engine mounts.... i was at my dentist every week for replacement fillings!

only for a track car or a petrol 1.8t not a donkey derv

ive got 1 sat waiting to go on, its not a vibratecnics though, its a super pro [ i think] they are available in a couple of hardness' for want of a better explanation! mines the softer version for road use,

There used to be more info regarding this issue on here I'm sure - don't know where it went?

Standard thing to do is buy a new gearbox mount and pump it full of double glazing grade rubber sealant and replace for the old one when the stuff has set.

When you see one of the mounts up close you'll understand why they make a noise - there is hardly any gap between the two sides and even less rubber coating.

I still have this on my to do list so can't really comment further.

As for the dogbone, the Superpro bush seems like the way forward.
