Parrot CK3100 Handsfree Kit

Featured Replies

Having one fitted on Thursday " Where's the best place to put the Microphone ?? "

Thanks

Auric

Up by the rearview mirror usually. Or if you're clever, and the mic on the CK3100 fits, there's a space for it within the front interior light :)

Mmmmmmmm..........sounds like a plan Steve, where about's exactly

Thanks Auric

The mic housing (rectangular area of small holes)in the interior light is on the drivers side just back from the light lens. When you take the light unit down there will be a rectangular piece of foam rubber in the housing. I fitted my Nokia CK-7W mic here, but I stripped the mic out of it's housing to do so & covered it in some fine porous foam rubber then wedged it in place.

Does this car kit have the 'T shaped' dual mic (like this) that can be adjusted for aim?

I fitted a MKi9200 with that type of mic and put it in the top corner of the screen next to the A pillar. A little easier and works fine too.

Good point; if it's the newer Parrot mic then it won't fit inside the light unit. But don't think the CK3100 came with that type...

See here - it fits behind the 'grid' just where you see the button for the driver's side map light. It'll be evident when you remove the unit. And handily, the pic below shows you how to do that as well ;)

A quick search and CK3100 has this mic so will be OK to go in the place you describe, as long as there's not something there already that isn't fitted to yours.

Yep, that model makes sense. Was the same one as was supplied with my Parrot RKi8400 head unit.

There's always a space on these light units. There's just a piece of black foam in there as std which pops right out.
