camber ajustment

Featured Replies

Hi to all, first time user. Had a blow out on rear driver side tyre due ro excesive wear which a few users of site have suffered. Phoned a dozen wheel alignment centres in Birmingham and been to told not able to ajust camber which is not the case as read on previous threads. Could any one recommend anyone who can do both wheel alignment as well as camber ajustment which is needed for octavia mark 1 around Birmingham Area. Many Thanks

There is no direct camber adjustment on the Octy mk1. You can't even buy adjustable top mounts or cam bolts for the front AFAIK>

You can buy shims to adjust the rear camber, but you need a good wheel alignment place to get the right values.

Thanks, read previous threads on camber ajustment on octavia vrs, but did not check if mark 1 or mark 2, but seems to be a common problem on previous threads. Is that ajustment only for mark 2 vrs? Thanks

The mk2 is a totally different car (barring some engines and badges), and has a fully adjustable suspension.

Many thanks for that Ken, must have read threads on mark 2 vrs.

Unit 18 could do this for you but they're down in Northampton. They come well recommended though.

Thanks , will pop in if going down that way.

Take it to Midland VW, I highly recommend them and they are down your way.
