Parking sensor problem

Featured Replies

The parking sensors on my 55 Superb just started playing up. When I engage reverse, I get the usual initial beep to confirm sensors are working, but, then, within 1-5 seconds a higher frequency beep. Before the high frequency beep, the sensors will work (If Im close to another car, I get the beep beep beep) but after the high frequency beep, the sensors do not work at all.

Any ideas what the problem is?

Cheers

Chris

Hey,

The parking sensors are realy strange. I've got this problem also. It started a month ago, and then after 1 day the sensors refused to work.

So just 1 long beep when reversing and then nothing....

NOW SINCE FRIDAY THEY WORK AGAIN,JUST LIKE NEW!!!!!!! AND I DIDN'T TOUCH IT. And for testing I hand washed my car yesterdag to see if water has an influence on the sensors.. But it's still working fine. So 1 month DEAD, and now working fine again.

I believe that it has something to do with condensation or water inside the sensor and when it's dried op they work again....

So try to dry with some hairdryer on the sensor and on the backside above the bumber bar....

I hope it's work. LET ME KNOW PLEASE!!!
