Possessed Headlights

Featured Replies

This morning the headlights on my VRS kept auto adjusting up and down every couple of mintues. They would be fine for a few mintues then start star gazing for a few seconds before dropping to the floor then returning to what looked like a normal postion.

This must have happened 4-5 times on a ten mintute journey.

Any help ideas please??

If you have Xenons, I'd suspect a problem with the auto level controls, so check the rear suspension auto-level link, and it that's not broken, go directly to VCDS, do not pas Go, do not collect £200 ;) ; if you have halogens and hence no self-levelling, not the foggiest.

I have had a simalar problem with our land rovers at work & that turned out to be the headlight adjusted motor.

Finally got some spare time this weekend to investigate this. Now headlights perminatly point down.

First question is what is VCDS

Second are there two auto level sensor one at the rear and one at the front?

Cheers

What is VCDS you ask. Look in the VCDS section of this forum there's lots of useful info.
