Featured Replies

Hi

I thought you might like to know that Citygate of Colindale, London are doing a special deal of £299 for cabelt change.

Above was for my Octavia 1.9TDI PD (BXE engine) new Jan. 2007 car, your model might be a different cost.

Hope this helps a few peps!

Today I was quoted between £550 & 364.92 from other Skoda dealers!!!

Does that include a new water pump? If not you should get one installed as its no extra labour and the cost of a water pump is about £35.

Just spoke to them, they are charging 395 if you want to get water pump changed too!!! So not so hot after all considering the cost of water pump & extra labour!!!!

I live in Jersey, I was quoted nearly £500.00 just for the cambelt change!

We don't have vat here, so £395 inc the water pump and vat, so seems a good deal to me!

OH WELL £299 still costly. German and swedish sell cam belt kit for £76 and water pump for 27...buy your parts and ask any local mechanic to replace cam belt nad pump they will charge you under £150 pounds maximum...job done. I buy my parts from GSF very cheap and good quality.
