hi everyone just joined up. first of just bought a 2000 plate skoda octavia tdi its done 105k and when we got it , it was fine but recently the gauges in the cluster would flick off and then on but now they have died completely. ive been told so much i dont know whats right and worng. i have been told you cant replace with secondhand, also it wont pass mot and is illegal to drive with gauges dead. if i change it ive been told it screws up the immobliser and the milage will read wrong as its all stored in the unit. p.s the immobliser does play up anyway. nothing has been modified its all factory spec. plz help as at mo if i cant sort it just want rid of it. :'(
