Erm Help please any techies? Urgent

Featured Replies

I've just been changing the head unit in my Fabia VRS. I some how managed to blow the ignition live fuse. Resolved the short that had caused the problem and replaced the fuse.

Now I have the airbag and engine management light on all the time. Any ideas what I have done? Is there another fuse that might of gone to cause this?

Many thanks in advance.

oooo-dosent sound good. sure someone will help.. somewhen!!

might have blown another fuse at the same time somehow, get a torch and check all the fuses. will vag a vag tool to clear the airbag faults though

If you don't have access to vag-com you could try disconnecting the vehicle battery for several minutes in the hope that it resets the fault lights. No guarantees given or implied of course!

Vag-com really does come into its own in situations like this.

Good luck.

Any improvement today Stuart ??

Lights are both still on. Its going in tomorrow to be looked at. The dealer seems to think it just needs the errors clearing out on the ECU. Heres hoping.....

Thanks for the suggestions they are much appreciated.

Now fixed, thanks for all that offered assistance.

FYI, the car was also fitted with the new Injector pump bolts while it was in. Part of a recent recall I believe.
